Saluting every life with a flower each day! Flowers are soul of the planet, blooming to play music with silent notes. Smile at them as they are sweet hearted!! Only the photographs taken by me are uplinked. I lean heavily to http://www.flowersofindia for flower identification and descriptions. Looking forward to valuable comments and suggestions.

Yellow… thy mellow my soul …
Scientific name: Taraxacum officinale
Found growing all over the temperate world. A humble perennial herb with vibrant yellow flowers. On maturation, the flower turns into a fluffy ball of seeds - a treat to the eyes. A herbal remedy for problems with gall bladder, liver, diabetes and loss of appetite. The flower was following me since 1993, when i first noticed it in Coonoor and then in Dehradun in 2001. I could capture into a frame on 1 Dec. 2010 on a way side at a hill slope at Coonoor.
