Saluting every life with a flower each day! Flowers are soul of the planet, blooming to play music with silent notes. Smile at them as they are sweet hearted!! Only the photographs taken by me are uplinked. I lean heavily to http://www.flowersofindia for flower identification and descriptions. Looking forward to valuable comments and suggestions.

Morning bells ...
Scientific name: Gmelina asiatica
Native to India, this tropical fast growing spiny shrub grows upright and bears bright yellow bell shaped flowers, which are borne on short terminal racemes. The plant is an erect, branched one, growing upto 8 m. Some stout spines are visible on the bark and branches. I was surprised to see this plant in Mysore, on my way to Institute, as the same is there in my native village, which i have seen since my childhood. To my astonishment, that village plant still remains on the edge of an irrigation canal! This photograph was taken in Mysore on 11th September, 2011.
