The purple heart of purple queen is native of Mexico. The plant is named for the striking purple colour of the plant. The plant is widely grown as an ornamental plant in gardens. It is well suited as border or land cover. In the childhood i have seen this plant in school headmaster's home in my native village. I took this photograph on 8th September, 2011 at my colleague's home while on a photoshoot of Pookkalam.
