Scientific name: Phlox paniculata
Garden phlox is a plant growing upto 4 feet tall. It is an old time favourite of gardeners across the world. The flowers are in delightful clusters, which bear abundance of flowers in white, pink, rose, red, purple and mix of these colours. Many cultivars have an eye in the center of each flower. The flowers have five overlapping petals. I had this plant while i was working in Bangalore. This photograph was taken on 3rd October, 2011 during Dussehra flower show in Mysore.
